How To Find Your Device Name (Computer Name)
Your device name, also known as your computer name, helps identify your computer on a network. This can be useful when connecting to shared folders, remote desktops, or for IT support purposes. Follow the steps below based on your operating system.
For Windows Users

Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.

Type cmd and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.

In the Command Prompt window, type the following and press Enter:
hostname -
Your computer name will be displayed on the next line.
Alternative Method for Windows

Click the Start button and open Settings.

Go to System, then select About.

Look for Device name under Device specifications. That is your computer name.
For macOS Users

Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.

Select System Settings or System Preferences.

Click on General and then About.

Your computer name will be shown next to Name.
For Linux Users

Open the Terminal application.

Type the following command and press Enter:
hostname -
The terminal will display your computer's name.
